Andrea holds a BA in Creative Writing and Spanish Literature (Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana, 2016) and a Master’s Degree in Education (Tecnológico de Monterrey, 2022).    Currently, she is interested in studying the different representations of urban and domestic space in Hispanic Literature.  For her Master’s dissertation, she developed pedagogical resources to foment intercultural competence in the language classroom. She has been teaching Spanish as a Second Language at Penn since Fall 2019.  Courses taught include: elementary, intermediate and advanced levels, as well as elementary Spanish for the Medical Professions.
