Angel Díaz-Dávalos is from the border city of Tijuana, México, and holds a B.A. in Hispanic Studies from the University of California, Riverside, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Temple University. His research interests are in the areas of Mexican Literary and Cultural Studies and U.S.-Mexico Border Studies. He has published in academic journals, dossiers, and edited book collections. Before coming to Penn, he previously taught at many local universities and colleges, including Temple University, Drexel University, the Community College of Philadelphia, and Muhlenberg College (Allentown, PA). At Temple, he was awarded a “Teaching Excellence Award”.
