Took the SAT

Students who have the following scores have fulfilled the language requirement in Spanish and should NOT take the online placement examination:

• A score of 650 or above on the SAT II in Spanish.

• A score of 4 or 5 in the AP Spanish Language or Literature examinations.

• A score of 5 and above on the IB Higher Level A examination.

• A score of 6 or above the IB Higher Level B examination.

Students who have scored a 600-640 on the SAT II should NOT take the online placement examination and have the following options:

• Register for and successfully complete Spanish 140 or Spanish 145.

• May choose to take an oral interview. Info.

All other students may take the online placement examination or use their SAT II score for placement. Students should follow their higher placement.
