Benjamin Moore has been teaching Spanish at the University of Pennsylvania since 2002. He has a B.A. in French and Spanish from Indiana University and an M.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Wisconsin. He completed his doctoral coursework in Hispanic Linguistics and Philology at the University of Wisconsin as well. He regularly teaches intermediate and advanced language classes and has also served as a course coordinator for Spanish 212 (Advanced Spanish II). In addition, he has taught courses for the Lauder Institute, both on campus and at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. In 2010, he was the recipient of the Departmental Award for Excellence in Teaching. Before coming to Penn, he held teaching positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. His academic interests include general and applied linguistics, Romance linguistics, and Spanish language teaching methodology.
